We would like to buy a second television set - for wall mounting with a swivel arm. Not a huge thing.
Now we only know how to turn it on, watch it so far. If we miss something, we can see it with difficulty on the notebook from the media library.
We have SAT antenna on the roof from the landlord. We also have Wi-Fi at home.
We would like to have a device that can record a little something (twin tuners would be fine) and also media libraries for the channels that are common in Germany (we have little interest in paid ones so far).
Budget frame I say up to 500 (I don't know what you get for it), size, hm, up to 55 ".
I would have speculated on TechniSat, Loewe or something else German (support the local economy instead of Chinese), but somehow their offer doesn't make me that happy, so I'm leaving the brand open for the time being.
What I would think would be awesome if I once again missed the start of my favorite sports broadcast and I'm still on the go, I would say "record it!" With my smartphone. Could send home. What I would also find awesome would be if the television could be used as an external monitor for Android Phones and Windows PCs.
Since we just let the development go by unobserved, I would be curious about user experience and recommendations. We have to evaluate and decide ourselves anyway.
Philips or Sony. You can actually take off your feet and hang them up on any television set
I know that you can hang them all up. By the way, our old television is now being hung up, the new one is allowed in the living room and is also one size larger. I don't really care about the brand, except for the preference for what is German / European and thus also local jobs to support, if which are equivalent.
I have made myself smart in the meantime:
What is particularly important to us is looking at media libraries and that works with the hbbtv standard. So I have set this as a MUST on many search sites.
I have also set WLAN and satellite as a MUST.
Our living room specifies the maximum size of 55 ". Set as a MUST.
Record at the same time = twin tuner. Seated - Zack, there was only one left for 1355 euro. Damn. So twin tuners out. Bad luck. We now have two televisions, then you just record something on the new one and watch something on the old one in the meantime.
I couldn't find such a "record this so that I can see it when I come home!" Function via app while searching. All right, then we'll just do without.
In the end, there was a Samsung, an LG, and a Dyon left. I know Samsung displays from smartphones as not that great. Very brightly colored, but somehow not really clear anymore because of all the bright colors. This can of course be very different with the television. The LG was an LCD, the other two an LED. LED is more future-oriented, LG was rather put out. What is Dyon anyway? - Oh, lo and behold, a German brand. Relatively young on the market, but well rated. 150 euro less than the Samsung. We'll try it out.
But they're not that good. Find the very pixelated
