Copier you have to install the installation CD on his PC or laptop to connect it with a cable or you do not need a CD so synonymous decked möglic?
With a copier you do not need to install anything, the device only copies.
If you mean a printer, then there are installation instructions. You can find them on the support page of the manufacturer for download, as well as current software to the printer.
You do not necessarily need a CD, the software from the manufacturer side is i.d.R. Current.
WHAT?
What does your question have to do with GAMING?
So I suspect based on your information that you want to connect a multifunction printer with copy function to your laptop and install.
On the driver CD to the printer usually the drivers themselves and other utilities are installed.
However, Windows 10 already has drivers for many printers or may download them via the Internet. In most cases, depending on the driver, you can use simple PRINTING and possibly SCAN functions. What is missing then are other utilities supplied by the printer manufacturer.
This can e.g. OCR and image editing software (but you can also use other programs than those of the printer manufacturer), but also tools that monitor the ink level on the PC and possibly provide maintenance options such as pressure nozzle cleaning. (Higher-quality printers have the device itself, a small display where you have such features synonymous).
If the notebook does not have a CD / DVD drive, you can also usually download the important driver from the printer manufacturer's website.
How to connect the printer to your notebook is described in the instructions for the printer. When connecting directly via a USB cable is often recommended to first install the drivers and then exclude the printer. Often it is sufficient in Windows 10 from just in the settings on (Start and then gear) Devices / Printer & Scanner / Printer or Add Scanner to go to the installation or setup of the printer on the laptop to start.
Depends on the driver. Today it is often the case that the operating system independently searches for suitable driver software on the Internet as soon as it detects a new device. But you can rely on it only if it is explicitly stated.
But otherwise you will find the latest driver software not on the supplied medium, but on the website of the device manufacturer (if he even provides a driver for the device for the operating system in question).

Incidentally, it was 15, 20 years ago that you had to have installed the driver for devices from HP and Windows as the operating system before you connect the device for the first time. Otherwise, the system was bent rather badly, and any subsequent installation went reliably wrong until the system was bent fairly straight again. Fortunately, I have not experienced that for years.
