CPU idling at almost 100%?

Wonder why, but on my HP laptop the CPU is suddenly almost 100% idle! As a result, the whole windoof almost never reacts!

Also restarting brings nothing! Because as soon as the windoof has started up, the CPU is almost 100% full again!

Have a 2.8 Ghz AMD CPU & 3 GB RAM!
