How can I deactivate the task manager or perform a reset? You may just have slightly "reconfigured" it and do not know how to undo it. Discarding all changes is the best solution. The procedure: First close the Task Manager, if still loaded. After that, use the Windows key and R to call the Execute dialog. Type in: taskmgr
Now hold the Shift, Ctrl and Alt keys simultaneously. Click OK - alternatively press Enter. The task manager presents itself then in old freshness. Previous adjustments are lost, these are to be redone if necessary. The fact that the reset worked out is clearest in Windows 8/10: the minimal view is active again, and so on.
Unfortunately, the tip of Computerbild does not work for me - it still appears in Task Manager Firefox (6), although only 1 app is open…
Who knows good advice how to speed up the laptop hp G62 with Win 10?
So I'll put it this way… I did not change anything in my Task Manager, and behind Firefox, a parenthesized 6 appears.
It may well be that Firefox 6 processes. What does he show when you open it?
So I've finally made the reset and there's only 1 Firefox available - hope that it also relieves the memory and thus the laptop faster: orher the Task Manager exit!
Win key + R
type in taskmgr, then hold down Shift + Ctrl + Alt and mouse over the OK button
and lo and behold the Task Manager is again "virginal" (untouched except 1x Firefox) ;-))
Question has settled with me!
Yes - he always does that, even though only 1 app is open.
Have since been able to successfully run the reset and lo and behold, Firefox is now only displayed once ;-))
Hope that then the memory is also relieved and I do not always have to wait forever for the next command / input…
I will try it out
Edit: Ne with me, nothing has changed.
Sorry, was with me just "window dressing": when selecting "more details" everything was back to its old state with Firefox (6) or even (7)
