An HP ProBook, Windows 7 Wi-Fi always worked perfectly. Suddenly after the wakeup, no Wi-Fi, Windows says, no wireless networks found.
Troubleshooter says Wi-Fi needs to be enabled on the device. Card is activated and according to the device manager it works perfectly.
Wi-Fi button on the laptop does not change anything. Have you ever had such a problem?
Usually a restart helps.
Have you looked at the network and release center and there on adapter settings?
Everything already through. Card is active, troubleshooting only keeps saying, wireless function deactivated.
Now I wonder if there's any service left…
Which router with which IP the card?
Since the antenna cables run over the hinges and the antenna is behind the screen, I could imagine that the cable has been damaged by opening and closing and therefore can't find a wireless network.
Is not a question of the signal, the wireless network service is switched off.
I put the card in my own laptop and went. Back in the other, did not work.
I left the laptop completely de-energized for 10 minutes, now it works again. Saved WLAN keys are gone.
According to the owner, the problem was there before, but then suddenly went away.
Must have something to do with a service
You speak of a card - opened the laptop and installed it in another one?
So I have a communication problem.
The WLAN card is an integrated plug-in card on the mainboard.
I built them in my old Dell (same connection).
I would only know that from USB devices: Click on Start, enter device in the search field and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
The Device Manager opens.
Double-click Network Adapters to expand the list, right-click the wireless adapter in the list, and then select Properties.
In the adapter's Properties window, select the Power Management tab, and then clear the Computer can turn off device to save power option.
Close Device Manager, restart the PC, and then try to connect to the wireless network again.
I've had it all through. Is basically the same as activating or deactivating the card with a right click, or pressing the Wi-Fi button on the laptop. Do everything the same. As I said, I think that some utility went nuts. Now it's okay, let's see how long. In January you have to have Win10 anyway, then have a look.
