For performance-hungry applications such as video editing, professional programming or 3D animation, a good graphics card is important, an i5 or i7 processor and at least 8GB RAM. If the devices are connected to an Active Directory domain, Windows 10 Pro is important and the 500 GB HDD can be omitted
As you can see, you should not commit yourself to 5 important criteria, but rather pay attention to a good overall package.
I want to help you a little and generally give you some pointers
for mobile use, the display size and weight play an important role in my opinion. I find 14 inches to be okay with anything that gets bigger hardly fits in the backpack. With the weight it should be clear the lighter the better. Notebooks> 2kg are poison for the long school day.
For the choice of processor for Office, there should no longer be a dual core (2 CPU cores), it is definitely better to have a quad core (4 CPU cores). It is important to note that the CPU's have a basic clock and a turbo clock, unfortunately the basic clock is often given in the notebook area. Here it only helps to search for the processor directly.
On the subject of storage. In any case, it makes sense to use SSDs directly. Hard drives, i.e. HDDs, are only used to store large amounts of data. SSDs are faster and more economical, which also serves the battery.
On the subject of warranty, the longer it is, the better for school use, I would not start under 3 years. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer manufacturers offer a long guarantee, the devices are technically depreciated and outdated after 2 years.
With Wi-Fi, the notebook should be able to use Wi-Fi-5 (old notation WLAN 802.11ac) or better Wifi6 (WLAN 802.11ax). Everything else is actually already out of date.
Sure fits that you can even get an extra year guarantee for a small amount.
Of course you need a budget
