I have to send an essay to my teacher and everything is perfectly formatted and page numbered at the bottom - it wasn't before, I recently changed it - and now every time I try to attach the document to the email, move it the page numbers on the next page, the block formatting gets gaps, although it is not the case in the original document.
I hope you understand what I mean.
Can i save this somehow?
(I've tried several times to reattach it, restarted my laptop, closed email and Word, etc.)
Why do you see the formatting when you attach a file to an email?
To check that everything is correct, and when the file is downloaded, I see that it is completely wrongly formatted
So do you email yourself the docx file? It is normal to have justified gaps.
No, I attach it to an email to my teacher, I can still click on it from there. Then everything is wrong. And of course, but I got this away by dividing syllables etc. As I said, everything is correct in the original document, but not when I attach the file to the email
If you click on the one in the email, will it also open in Word? Maybe it is opened with the wrong program
Yes, it opens with Google Docs, but I can't change anything
This is due to your incorrect formatting. You probably wrote the page numbers manually in the last line and always put in pretty blank lines with Enter… No wonder. You use Word the way people used to type on a DIN A4 page.
The page numbers belong in a header or footer and are therefore separate from the text.
Blank lines for page breaks are not made, but CTRL-Enter = manual page break. Or you write the text through in the flow. Of course, you make paragraphs legible - but not three / four / 10 blank lines in a row.
Then it also works with passing on.
In fact, I do all the blank lines with CTRL Enter, but I really just typed in the page numbers.
