Word document gone, even though it should be restored?

In my Word settings, I have that the document should be saved every 10 minutes, but when I started my laptop today, the document was gone, it can't recover even though it was before other documents. Can I still do something to save the document?

When you quit word you will be asked where and under what name you want to save the document… That should know where you saved it

Just look in your settings under Word options, there's the locations - default by Word or set by you each for "auto-recovery" and / or "default location". Please check right away whether you have actually activated the option "Keep the last automatically saved version when closing without saving".

Maybe you can still search in this location with a data recovery program.
