I have the following problem: My new "HyperX Cloud II" does not work as it should. This headset has a sound card that is connected to the PC, in my case a laptop, via USB. My mic just doesn't work when I plug in the sound card, but the sound does. Everything works without a sound card, i.e. Only with the headset jack connection.
What could it be?
I have already reinstalled the driver and the input and output device is also set correctly under system settings. Of course, the mic is not muted either.
It would be nice if someone could help me because slowly but surely I'm desperate…
I would "cross" swap with another PC / notebook.
Possibly the USB sound card has a quirks.
Otherwise contact the hotline / exchange.
It is possible that you have not yet approved the apps that should or are allowed to access the microphone in "Settings> Privacy> Microphone".
