Install printer driver under Windows 10?

I have a Canon network printer, it works perfectly with all devices, except for the laptop with Windows 10 version 20H2, where it installs the printer for me as a fax and I can't switch it.

When I try to install the driver as well, I get the message: The kernel mode printer driver for Canon MX530 series printer can't be installed. Contact the manufacturer for a driver that is compatible with this version of Windows.

Anyone advice for me what to do?

I already got in touch with Canon, but they don't know what to do next…

With USB already tried to install.

Try the following, if necessary Model 535

Otherwise go through the following instructions: https://www.bestetipps.de/computer/windows-drucker-hinzufuegen/

I've already tried everything that way.

From Hong Kong? I'm trying today, downloaded the driver with the complete software from canon.de, but that didn't help either…

Does the printer have to be uninstalled every time, or can I simply install the new drivers?

Da

I have the 535 as a model, downloaded this driver and only installed the MP driver and the XPS printer driver, then the following message came up:

No MP Drivers are properly installed. Install the MP Drivers properly so that printing can take place, and then install the XPS printer driver.

How can you install it properly?

Si

If you install the driver, it will find the connected printer and if it works you remove the old one in the settings

Si

You may have to remove the old drivers first, exit and restart Windows, and then install the drivers.

Da

Unfortunately it didn't work out as expected…

Da

Also tried everything, without success. Do you know about kernel mode printer drivers?

Si

I'm sorry to hear.

Si

No, unfortunately not, MS has probably put a stop to this.

Da

I don't understand what you want to achieve with it, but good… That's how you tend to poke your customers and companies.

Si

Yes, I see it the same way

Tomorrow, I would just like to briefly report that I was able to successfully install the printer after resetting the settings (even under Windows version 20H2)!
