Windows 10 freezes and i need to turn off my PC?

The following problem: I have had the new PC for about 2 months, I no longer know exactly when I bought it. Now it has been suddenly hanging up since yesterday, it is completely irregular and it does not matter whether it is Google Chrome or Unity3d. Earlier, I wanted to watch a video that only lasted three minutes, and when I tried to turn it on, he suddenly said goodbye. I then have to turn it off by hand every time because it won't be ready in ten minutes.

I did something really stupid that I know you don't actually do, and I've rarely turned it off since I bought it. He was sometimes on for a whole week, or maybe even more. It was actually brand new and had cost 500 euro. I use the PC for Blender and Unity (game development), i.e. Typical 3D programs, and of course that is also a bit demanding, even if I know there are still computers with more power than mine. I know you should actually switch off the PC regularly, I've learned that now.

By the way, it's a laptop.

Now the question is: Can I save something there?

Have you checked whether your CPU fan is dust free? If not, you should do so and clean your ventilation if necessary.

I would back up the data and claim the laptop. If you don't need it.

Have you ever run a virus scanner?

The hard disk can be checked with crystaldiskinfo. Maybe the screw is loose.

If the PC spits out any errors or a red image appears (once it was at work with a notebook, the device then had to be sent in because the mainboard or the graphics card was broken and this is still guaranteed a lot)

If there have been any Windows or driver updates in the last few days, it can also come from something like this, if necessary try to reset the PC, reinstall or install all current updates (Windows, drivers, programs).

In terms of letting it run permanently, I can't really agree with you, of course you should restart the device from time to time, but I sometimes leave the computers / notebooks that I use privately or professionally (as a computer scientist) for weeks and months run continuously, with few to no restarts. This should certainly not cause problems for a new device after just a few weeks / months.

Thank you for your answer. Seriously thought that permanent walking was the cause. He was actually only about half an hour ago, and I didn't even let him do much except watch a video on the Internet. Well, I remember having an anti-virus program update some drivers. Not all drivers, however. The driver graphics card seems to be up to date. I don't get an error message. It just hangs up and I can't even go to the start to shut it down properly. Several programs have already appeared, it doesn't matter which one is currently being executed. My personal theory is that it hangs when the RAM is full. My observation so far has been that it always happened when I quickly entered a command. I can't describe it, hope you understand what I mean. Will try a system restore or reinstall.

Thanks for your answer. Dusty fan was the problem with an old laptop. But wouldn't he have to go out completely? Was the same with the old one.

Mo

Thanks for the tip, give it a try.

Crystaldiskinfo doesn't seem to find a bug. I think I'll try System Restore / Reinstall. Because the constant on and off also hurts him.

Mo

I'll try it anyway.

Does the laptop have an SSD - and do you have a lot of writes on this SSD that use this SSD too much? This could indicate damage to the SSD.

Simply check the SSD in the command prompt with Scandisk, and possibly the disks.
