Can I connect my laptop (Lenovo Yoga 730 with "Intel UHD 620 max. 32 GB / 4K Support" graphics card) to a monitor that has a higher resolution than the display of my laptop (1920 x 1080 pixels)?

I'm considering buying a large, better-resolution monitor to which I connect my laptop when I'm not on the road. Before I put too much money in the sand for a monitor that has more resolution than my laptop can deliver, I wanted to ask again.

If your notebook has a DisplayPort (DP for short), 4K should be possible.

Unfortunately, HDMI should not work. I doubt that your notebook has DisplayPort. However, there are docking stations for this function that support this.

I'm not sure if it works with your notebook. I'm on the go and can't check the specifications. But should only be for your guidance
