I connected a power supply unit with a normal USB plug (19V) to my Lenovo Yoga 13-ISK, which is charged through the top USB port, and this probably ruined the entire USB bus. All USB ports (including USB-C) no longer work.
Can this also be a software error that can be corrected through the Windows settings or is it certainly a hardware error? If it is definitely a hardware fault (which I assume), which part would then probably have to be replaced / repaired and what would the approximate costs be?
I did some research: Actually, the charger should communicate with the notebook and only then provide 19 V (5.2 V are also available for cell phones from the same charger).
In general, I think it is a blatant construction flaw to be able to connect a normal 19 V charger via USB to this port (risk of confusion)!
You can find the possibly damaged spare part here:
Thanks for the answer. I see the USB connector the same way, namely, I soldered a normal USB connector to a non-original power supply unit and, stupidly, only then figured out that it was a different connector than the one intended for charging
