Microsoft Word - Bibliography function not available?

I thought to myself that I would describe my problem here after I had already checked out all the other sources. It is so that a bibliography is necessary for a term paper, but unfortunately I don't even have the option / function insert quotation or manage sources etc. In word, while normally there are relatively many points under references. It should also be the latest version. On the Internet I only find answers and videos about how to enter sources (if the option is available), but it fails for me beforehand. I believe (information without guarantee) that is only displayed if you use a literature management program such as Citavi or similar. Linked.

Just for information: Word has its own reference management on board. You don't need a separate literature management program for this.

To me your screenshot looks like you are using the online version of word. As far as I know, this has no reference management. You need the desktop version for this.

If you don't want to purchase this, I would advise you to use an open source alternative, e.g. B. https://de.libreoffice.org/...ffice.org/. Or. External, free reference management programs such as Zotero.
