I'm planning to start this summer towards engineering.
I have already looked on the side of the college for possible requirements for technology, unfortunately, I was not successful.
It is often said that you do not really need a laptop for a degree, but unfortunately often only the students from social studies or the like speak. In the direction of mechanical engineering you read almost nothing, but that you need a laptop for certain programs, I could imagine. Well it's only unfortunately, I would much rather a tablet for making sketches and write down formulas, certain characters like, ohm "looking for you in vain on the keyboard and memorizing the keyboard combo is me but then again to…
Besides, I have a powerful desktop PC at home, even buying a Windows capable device, that would seem a bit stupid to me. In addition, I have had bad experiences with Windows laptops. I know, the error is usually in front of the PC, but with Windows 10 has taken the whole really ridiculous dimensions…
A MacBook I could imagine, but if I really need a laptop for the programs, then a MacBook is either not compatible or just too weak. (Which I've heard)
But if I do not really need a laptop, then I would like to get an ipad, I'm just tired of flying around tons of paper, until today I still find latin worksheets and I'm not a messy person with God knows… Well good a bit.
So my PC would be enough at home and could I buy a tray with a clear conscience?
I have attended all my lectures without laptop / tablet in the lectures (mechatronics + electrical engineering) … Practically it is all in all that one can scribble in the PDFs with a pencil. Duty for successful existence definitely not.
Thank you for your prompt reply!
Of course, it's clear that a tablet is just a gimmick. My only fear was that a laptop is needed and I do not have one or I have one and then do not need it. With a tablet I could imagine that it is quite practical to be able to exchange drawings and also to write down formulas, that is not so easy with a laptop. The gnaze is of course also by hand, but well… I have not worked with technology for 13 years, digitalisation was a foreign word to my school and I would like to catch up.
Get the tab s4 or s3 from Samsung, have the rating 9 and the pen is awesome
I also have the grade 9. Unfortunately, I feel that Samsung makes better smartphones than tablets. I already had a Samsung tablet 3 years ago, my sister also got one for her birthday, just a generation new. Long story short, the tablets became so fast that you could almost look at them, which is probably due to the lack of updates, with tablets Samsung is rather frugal…
But with a pen, you'll probably end up at Samsung or Apple. Only Apple is much more expensive there
