IPad or MacBook for studying?

I will start studying physics in autumn. I currently have an iPad and an Apple Pencil. I don't have a laptop or notebook. So my question is, would it make sense to buy a MacBook? Especially for physics you would say it is worth it or my iPad is enough. (I want a MacBook because I want to stay with Apple because I actually have everything from Apple).

And to everyone who also works with an iPad and Apple Pencil, do you have any good apps for me to take notes etc?

Ha

The software used as a physicist / mathematician is probably made for Windows rather than MacOS. In my math studies we only had Windows computers and the licenses were for Windows. For your studies, I would advise you to use a Windows computer rather than a Mac.
