Connecting a laptop to a music system? Usb?

I run a place where I play the music on a laptop. For this I always used an aux cable and the headphone input. However, I have heard that there's a better way via usb input.

Does anyone know here?

I do not want to say if the way is better, but of course you have to have an amplifier with usb that has a usb input

I always use the headphone output (jack 3.5) and then on chinch in the amplifier

You can of course connect an external sound card via usb and the aux cable to this soundcard, but what better way to do that? 🤷♂️
