Sims 4 freezes on Windows 10?

I have the problem that the game The Sims 4 on my laptop with the Windows 10 operating system regularly freezes completely. When this happens there's no way I can interact with the laptop. The only option left is to switch off the laptop using the power button and restart it.

I bought the laptop with Windows 10, Origin has always worked flawlessly so far, the game also runs flawlessly until the time of the freeze and the system of the laptop meets the minimum requirements of the game.

I would be very happy to receive a tip to solve the problem.

Your laptop is just going to be too bad

Did you change anything recently? Reinstalled? How old is the laptop? Ev a problem with the cooling. Difficult if you don't see the error message.

Ge

The laptop does not get warm and unfortunately there's no error message. The game just hangs completely and nothing works.

ro

Did you make the recent update of the game?

Ge

I just installed the game yesterday. So far I haven't had to make any updates

ro

There are many updates at Origin. Wait a while until you play. Are other games running? What kind of laptop do you have (model and name)? It is possible that the graphics card is not sufficient for this.

Ge

It's the only game I've installed through Origin. My laptop is a Lenovo ideal Pad 3 with an Intel Core i5

ro

As expected: this is an ultrabook, so very narrow. These warm up quickly, causing it to freeze. In addition, it does not have its own (dedicated) graphics card. It is therefore very difficult to say whether that is enough. The processor isn't the fastest. Sims4 needs a fast one if there's no graphics card. → https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/the-sims-4/12305/

Even though the game is otherwise fine?
