The laptop has 4GB of RAM, I want to expand it, did some research on the internet, but I'm not sure.
The 4GB are firmly soldered and the manufacturer can expand the RAM up to 20GB.
Can I now install a second 8GB from the same manufacturer, with the same frequency, or not?
You probably have a permanently installed 4GB chip and a free slot that can hold up to 16GB. The timing of the free bolt must match or be higher than that already installed.
Which model is your LApTop?
Acer Aspire 5 (A515-51G-303X).
what do you mean by timing 😅
You can find the right bar here

By timing I mean the MHz, in your case at least 2133
Oh yes, that's what I mean by frequency, the 8GB also has 2133 MHz.
do I have to do something after installing or does the laptop handle the rest automatically?
No, the additional RAM is recognized and integrated immediately
Ok, thank you very much for the quick help 😄
I think you can save 20 euro for the storage
