Is my laptop enough to stream with an Elgato?

So I would like to stream on the Ps5 but with overlay etc. And for that I need an Elgato, but I don't know if my laptop has enough power. My specs:

RAM: 16GB

CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2601 MHz, 4 core (s), 8 logical processor (s)

Graphics card: GeForce GTX 960M (4GB)

Ha

Not in life.

Ga

How much do you think a pc would cost for that?

Br

If the Lappi is to be used solely for the encoding and compression process as well as uploading, then it could easily work in HEVC via Intel Quick-Sync.

It is definitely worth a try if you need an Elgato between Playse and streaming computer for your project without ifs or buts.

Ha

1500 euro

Ga

But you know that I only have to get the picture from the Ps5 to the PC to stream? 1500 euro what world do you live in?

Ga

Okey, thanks for the answer

Ha

On earth, and you?

Br

My pleasure. 😉

hu

If the laptop only has to encode, the locker is enough.

hu

As long as your laptop has to encode the stream, the locker is sufficient. Don't worry about that

Ha

What does he have to do?!

It says what it has to do.

hu

A stream must be encoded so that you can send a raw HDMI signal as a .h246 signal. Adding an overlay in OBS is almost nothing. If you had read the question carefully, you would understand that the PC does not have to actively play a game.

Ha

All right, so you're saying that the pc is enough up there?

hu

That's far enough for that

Ha

No.

You're the only one here with that opinion.

hu

No I'm not.

Ha

Yes, you are
