100Mbit instead of a possible 200?

I have a problem with my internet. The problem is that the ethernet cable in the system is limited to 100Mbit. With speed and duplex I have already tried automatic and 1 GBit, nothing has changed. Then I took my laptop and the full 200Mbits are transferred there (same LAN cable, same socket)

Try to adjust the internet settings to 200MB with tcpoptimizer.exe.

Can only max. Set 100

Oops, I didn't know, I have "only" 100

It could well be that your network card either only supports 100 Mbit / s or that it supports e.g. Is limited to 100 Mbit / s due to missing drivers.

Which network card do you use? If you don't have a dedicated network card, the motherboard model is important.

It shouldn't be due to the cable or other network devices such as routers or switches.

Now I have the solution and sometimes it is easier than expected: For some reason there was a small strip of paper in my LAN port from the PC, which meant that not all 8 wires could be used and only 100Mbit was possible.
