What do you do with your old components when you can no longer get them sold?
I still have a few old notebook CPUs, desktop CPUs and desktop RAM DDR2 lying around, which are not even found on ebay anymore.
Maybe someone can use some of it here.
Everything that I have not touched for two years goes to waste, I'm very rigorous, because otherwise you quickly fill up as many attics or basements show again and again!
I then make it to the electronics store or the country of purchase, depending on where I go first when I've mucked out.
I unscrew everything and sometimes hang parts on the wall.
Do not dispose of it in the sense of throwing it away, but collect and hand it over. Disassemble your stuff, cleanly separate it and send it in.
Here is just an example provider. Boards are worth the money!

Maybe as spare parts if something breaks. I also have a couple of graphics cards and fans. It's a good thing that I kept it, if now I just wanted to set up a private server and I was missing a graphics card.
