Problems TV and laptop?

I connect my laptop to the new TV as normal but my TV does not recognize it. And it works on my old little TV. Could anyone help me, please!

I thought it had something to do with the resolution, which must be at least 1920x1080 (Full HD) with UHD devices but the devices are backwards compatible. It was just an idea.

Maybe you need a slightly better HDMI cable for higher resolution and now have something cheap that does not support the high resolution.
