I want to give someone my laptop because of homeschooling and therefore want to reset it so that he has no access to stored data or the like, but I don't feel like making a new Windows stick and then installing it on the laptop.
Windows 10 has already been completely reinstalled after I reset the laptop.
Can I still delete everything from the laptop without reinstalling Windows?
You can reset it via the settings without having to install Windows
And where
If I look under the option reset it says that windows have to be reinstalled afterwards
Call the PC manufacturer or write an email, they can probably help you better
Then I'd rather reinstall Windows
It takes even longer to call the manufacturer
Yes that's true again
Most of the time, this can be done quite properly using these instructions: https://www.otto.de/...hts-19784/
However, if you want to get rid of all of your data, you will have to reinstall Windows. This is best done using an installation medium such as a USB stick with Windows 10. You could alternatively use the reset function offered under Windows 10, but this can also cause problems. Furthermore, the procedure is usually done much faster if you do it on a data carrier.
Regardless of which of the two methods you choose, in the end it will still be possible to restore removed files if you are after it. There are enough programs on the net to be able to restore deleted files with ease, even if Windows has been reinstalled. Some files are sure to be lost, but not all of them. It is certainly not to be assumed that your colleague intends to do this, but I just wanted to have it mentioned.
