Either you have an HDD hard drive or you have stored too much stuff on the desktop.
There can be different reasons. The most likely is that you haven't installed an SSD, just an HDD. It's not nearly as fast as an SSD anyway, and it's also prone to garbage. If you store too much unnecessary stuff on it, it slows it down. Autostart programs can also slow down the user experience.
So clean it once or, if necessary, reinstall Windows after backing up all important (!) Data. Then everything unnecessary is gone.
