I tried to connect a LAN cable to my Win 8.1 laptop, but it did not work out. I had a network adapter from Kaspersky, which allegedly blocked all LAN connection. However, I unknowingly uninstalled it. Now I have no more adapter for LAN. What now?

Sounds like you've deleted the driver. I would just reinstall this.
Kaspersky is a software company for internet security. If you've deleted or uninstalled kaspersky's etas, then it's a security component, but not a hardware part.
if you want to use a computer to the internet, you have to install the hardware "network adapter" or activate, this is usually done with installing the correct driver.
go into your "device manager" and see if yours is activated or not installed.
Win8 has, as far as I know, a self-diagnosis and self-repair function. However, I do not know how to call them. You have to googling and read the corresponding Microsoft help page. If you have accidentally destroyed a piece of software, it will be restored.
