So yesterday I connected headphones to my laptop and he asked what I connected, I said headphones and did not show them again, but the microphone on my headphones did not work (should I have specified the headset?) If so how can I change it because i didn't press show again. So how do I get the box back in which I can specify what I have connected to the laptop?
or what else should I do to make the microphone go?
Uninstall the headset via the device manager and then plug it in again.
What are these headphones and which laptop?
Your laptop should have a headphone slot and a microphone slot. Where did you plug in your headphones? And are everyone involved?
Acer and so Liliane with a b on the side
I can't do much with that, model number or something would be more interesting but it doesn't matter, then we'll do it differently. Like many metallic rings, the headphones have on the plug. (not the small plastic separations) and how many slots does your laptop have where you can put the headphones in?
Has three such black rings and the laptop has a headphone thing
Ok, then the hardware should fit. Then try Misrandier's. Uninstall the device and then plug it in again. But I almost suspect that this will not work.
I thought that is both multi-jack 4 pin
And how do I uninstall it? Just unplug it? I've already done it😂
In the device manager.
Simply open it then, there should be a point at the top of the audio inputs and outputs. Note the devices that are there, or take a screenshot, write them down. Whatever. Then you pull the headphones out. At least one device should now be missing. You remember that and put the headphones in. The devices that were just gone should reappear. Right-click and then click Uninstall device in the context menu that appears. When it is finished, pull the device out, wait a short time for the device manager to update itself, then plug in the device.
