I'm currently using a laptop with ubuntu and recently it has been the case when nothing is on somehow or something has crackling both the laptop loudspeakers and the headphones it doesn't happen that often when the headphones are not connected but still sometimes and it cracks or crackles in steps of 2 so first a soft crack then a break for about 2 seconds and then a loud crack and then after about 20 seconds the same again
Reduce the tone then it disappears.
And it's called loudspeaker.
No that cracks yes even when the sound is off and the cracking does not come when I have something on because the sound has to do with e.g. Sound settings a youtube video etc it may be that the sound card wants to activate something like a sleep mode or something like an energy-saving mode and if so, how can it not be turned off
