I wanted to reset my notebook to the factory settings because I had problems with a few settings that kept changing. So I used the option to reinstall Windows, but keep the files. Unfortunately that didn't work somehow. After 88% of the reinstallation, my notebook restarted and it was said that there were errors when starting Windows because of my device. I've tried so many things and haven't been successful. : /
At the moment my last solution was to reset everything, but now my notebook has been starting up all the time, but nothing happens.
Does anyone have any idea how I can solve the problem?
Nobody here can really answer that. There's so much that could be. In the worst case, you have to set up Windows 10 fresh, i.e. No recovery or something, but really completely fresh. For this you need a Windows installation file
It could be that the hdd (ssd) has an error.
Welcome to Windows. Something went wrong during the update and now your notebook is stuck in an installation loop. It happened to me only 2 months ago with my (luckily) old laptop, but since I wanted a new one, it didn't matter.
You can create a Windows 10 boot stick and keep your files AND restart Windows.
Enter "Windows 10 installation loop" on Youtube. I think there was a video, which was pretty good!
Download the media creation tool
https://www.microsoft.com/...ndows10ISO
Put in an at least 8 GB usb stick and create a boot stick.
Select Create Installation Medion for another PC.
Your korrywurst 😎
I'm just reading that you've reinstalled Windows and it wasn't an update. I'm not sure about that, but you can still try it with the Windows 10 stick. How to create one can be found on Youtube.
Unscrew the laptop and take out the hard drive, which you can then connect to a PC and should then be able to access it as normal, like with a USB stick, in order to save the data. Then format the hard disk, install it and reinstall Windoof via USB stick or CD.
And regularly create external data backups in the future, then you will not have such problems.
Okay, thanks, I'll give it a try then. But now I wait another half an hour to see if something happens before I switch off my notebook and then try the USB method.
