Your headphones may not have a microphone, the microphone may be muted, or you may have plugged them into the wrong input.

You could try revising the settings in the PC Micro settings, maybe micros. I had the problem myself

Possibly: Because the laptop has a four-pin jack connection - but the PC has two separate ones - a two- and a three-pin.
