Father keeps package addressed to someone else?

A few weeks ago I sent an old mobile phone from a friend (19) who lives further away because her is broken.

Now her father has accepted the package and does not want to give it to her because he does not know me. He even threatens her to throw her out if she does not rest and takes her laptop away.

Is it even allowed to withhold other people's packages and what can they do in the situation?

Since the package is addressed to her, but is reserved for her by a third person, she is entitled to file a complaint with the police.

I would talk to your dad in your place.

Maybe he can talk to your girlfriend's father, father to father.

Then this can understand that the cell phone, really of you and therefore harmless. Because so he has no proof, he does not know you and in theory, the cell phone could indeed be a criminal. And he can't understand if you're really a friend.

But if your father talks to him, he could understand that everything is correct.

The situation seems very suspicious to me. So since your girlfriend is of age, the father may not open their post office or deny her, nor steal her property (laptop).

But if the situation is so tense there, then your girlfriend should try to get somewhere else.
