What is in the laptop? Press Windows key + Pause and send a screenshot. Maybe you just have slow hardware.
Too much installed on it? Too warm?
Bad processor?
Too little Ram?

Open the task manager (ctrl + alt + delete) and watch the performance. There you can see how much z.b. The CPU is busy.
There are also laptops that are not suitable for windows 10.

If the laptop was initially fast and slowed down over time, then Win10 recovery can help.
There are two options:
a) Keep your own files and
b) Remove everything
I would advise to "keep my own files". However, all apps and programs you have installed will be deleted.
Your Win10 is then reinstalled.
If you are interested, go to Settings> Update and Security> left window page: Recovery> Reset this PC: Let's go> Choose your option.
