I've wanted to reset my laptop for 2.3 days. After trying, it always says that no changes have been made. I've already tried almost all the tips from the Internet, unfortunately nothing helped. Does anyone else have a tip?
That's what it says in the operating instructions!
Nope
It is best to reinstall Windows 10 cleanly. To do this, first download the Media Creation Tool https://www.microsoft.com/...ndows10%20. You can use it to create a Windows 10 USB boot stick. For this you need an empty formatted USB stick.
When you have created the stick, just boot it and follow the instructions of the wizard. It offers the possibility to delete everything. One should do that. The laptop will restart several times during the installation.
After the installation is complete, the last restart takes place. Windows 10 then reactivates fully automatically. The product key integrated in the BIOS is used for this. You don't have to enter it. It is never lost.
The last step is to go to the manufacturer's website for your laptop. Download and install the drivers there. The drivers are simply installed with a double click.
Now you have a clean, new system.
It is always better to cleanly reinstall than to reset. The Windows 10 USB boot stick should be kept well for emergencies.
When reinstalling you may lose any pre-installed programs that you bought!
Your tip without asking beforehand?
Which programs were there?
I don't know, ask the questioner!
That is generally the case. - Also for the Win10 restore, see
Which version of Win10 do you have? - Look in "Settings> System> Info".
From version 2004 v. May 2020 there's also the installation variant "cloud download".
You should try that then. - A (stable) internet connection is required for this.
I have the version: 1903
Version 1903 is no longer supported as of December 9, 2020. See:
https://de.wikipedia.org/...geschichte
So you will not be able to avoid a new Win10 installation.
To prevent this problem from occurring again, perform the Windows function update, which is offered every six months, at least once a year.
So everything has now gone through… I'm now on reset this PC, delete all files, and now on cloud download or what?
As already explained, since the Win10 version 1903 is no longer supported, the restoration will not succeed in my opinion.
The "Cloud Download" variant is only available from version 2004.
You could try to carry out a function (version) update via this MS page: https://www.microsoft.com/.../windows10, but others did not succeed in the same situation.
If you still want to try, click the "Update Now" button under "Windows 10 October 2020 Update". - Good luck!
I installed version 20H2 and now it worked. (Via cloud download) Thanks for your help.
