When I booted my win 7 laptop there was only a black screen with cursor, how do I fix it?

Start in safe mode.

… Press the F8 key before starting Win7.

And why do you still have Win7?

Support was discontinued on January 14th, 2020.

Start the "explorer.exe" process via the Task Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC).

When does a black screen come? When you go to Meune or when you try to start Safe Mode?
