I use Chrome as a browser. If I want to open documents they will be downloaded automatically. I often only want to open it. How can I change the way that I'm asked?
On my old laptop, the downloads were always shown as a blue arrow at the top right of the search bar. Now they always appear at the bottom left above the task bar. I would like to change that to the arrow.
You used to have Firefox as your browser. Now you have Chrome. Therefore, the download is in other places.
The browser also downloaded the file beforehand - that's the point. The "Open" only refers to whether the file should then be opened directly or not.
As far as I can see, Chrome can't say that it has to open things directly. You can only specify the location and say whether you should ask for it every time.
