From next summer I will leave compulsory school and go to a vocational school, … Since I will get a laptop, I'm now with the question "memory" there…
256 GB is recommended
Now what's smarter…
128 GB internal + 256 GB external
or
256/512 GB intern
Internally, I think it's smarter with a laptop.
You can still buy external storage hard drives separately
What kind of vocational school is that? So which direction?
I would prefer to say more internal memory, because you don't have to lug around any storage media with you.
Architecture department (draftsman)
Better to choose the larger internal memory.
256 GB is certainly sufficient for the time being, but scarce in the long run.
I would take at least 500 GB here. If you do need more memory later, you can transfer larger amounts of data to the external memory, depending on the application.
Ok, thank you for the tip
For a laptop that offers the chance to accommodate 2 drives, I always prefer this solution.
Permanently mounted
Always there
faster than USB
depending on the laptop with "fall protection sensor"
You're welcome
512 GB internal, if necessary external storage.
The Surface Laptop 3 (4) if it comes, there's only an SSD with 128/256/512 GB of storage
Thank you!
If you plan to use the laptop a lot, I would definitely use 500GB or more.
This has a number of advantages:
a full hard drive makes the laptop slow
You don't need the internet to upload your documents to the cloud
you don't need to carry a USB stick or external hard drive around with you
In general, a hard drive is faster than usb.
Disadvantage:
Manufacturers often charge unnecessarily high amounts for a larger hard drive.
I had 512GB with my laptop and swapped it for a 1TB after 2 years.
And before you take a laptop that has 2 hard drives, better take one with only one. 2 hard drives often take up the space for a large battery.
If you tell me what you want / need, I'll quickly pick out my favorites.
I would never buy it anyway. 😉 I prefer laptops that are neither glued nor extremely maintenance-free.
I've actually already decided that I'll wait for the Surface Laptop 4 or buy the Surface Laptop 3 if it doesn't come onto the market in time…
Jo no problem.
there are also many other dune and handy notebooks.
The surface book does not cool as well and gets very warm.
