I would like to spice up an old notebook from Fijutsu Simens Celsius H230 with an SSD disk and Windows 10 makes any sense? The Lapetop is from 2005 and has 1.5 GB of RAM, which could be upgraded to 2GB. 15.1-inch UXGA laptop (Intel Centrino 2.13GHz, 1.5GB RAM, DVD +/- RW DL, ATI Mobility FireGL V 5000 256MB, 80GB HDD)
First, determine whether Win10 is compatible at all.
Go to the Microsoft website and follow the instructions for installing Win10. It is checked beforehand whether your notebook is suitable for this.
The system requirements mention 1 GB RAM for 32 bit systems or 2 GB for 64 bit systems.

But to be able to work properly, I would use at least 4 GB of RAM.
Even with the age of the device, upgrading is no longer really worth it.
In my opinion it makes more sense to buy a new laptop.
The notebook would work with any system, at least with that of its delivery. To do this, it should still be available. If you don't want to scrap it, it depends on what you want to use it for. It could be enough for simple letter writing and modest internet. I would try Linux. The first step is even without installation, as a bootable DVD with a lifesystem you could at least test it in a simple way.
First of all thank you so much from the requirements it should be enough but I would have to install an SSD first? The old hard drive 80GB 5200 revs is unfortunately too slow. If I turn it on, it takes half an eternity before it starts up
Of course, it is not necessary, but an SSD helps a bit.
But here are the steps to prepare for Windows 10
Create USB boot stick
Then here the instructions for the Windows installation
Thank you.
Happy New Year.
