For 3 days I have had the problem that my computer no longer recognizes the LAN cable and only one lamp lights up on the port. The network card is permanently installed with the mainboard (Msi 770-c45) had this problem a week ago, when I switched off my PC completely for 24 hours and the next day it worked again. However, this solution no longer works.
Already tried:
-all drivers updated… Nothing
-all drivers reinstalled by the manufacturer… Nothing
- Router restarted (waited 15 minutes) … Nothing
- New LAN cable and another port on the router used… Nothing
- windows updated (win10)… Nothing
-new windows operating system (win8) installed… Again nothing
The LAN cable works perfectly on my laptop so it's not the router or the cable…
Hope you can help me, thank you in advance.
Then the card has a crack.
Reset the mainboard
The good guy means removing the button cell battery for 2-5 minutes. But I would strongly assume that the Lancontroller unfortunately blessed the time. You could buy a PCI Lan card to deal with the problem.
@ Mechlie777
Checked it online and I'll try it out right away.
Thanks hehe
Have you ever looked into the configuration of the MB-NIC? Perhaps there's not "automatic negotiation" with "speed & duplex" but something else?
That would possibly explain why only one LED on the socket is active.
