For some days I have the problem that stuck on my laptop repeatedly Youtube videos, despite good internet connection. This problem only occurs on Youtube, but this problem does not occur on other pages
What can this problem be and how can it be remedied?
You certainly have a wireless repeater, this provides you with full wireless signal strength, but this repeater has a bad / slow wireless connection to the router.
Can you determine with a speed test on the laptop:
https://www.wieistmeineip.de/speedtest/
https://speedsmart.net/
If you get stable, at least 10 MBit / s in the download, it should be sufficient for YouTube.
If it still does not work, then restart the router. Power off… Wait 1 minute… Power on it.
If it still does not work then you may need to set a less used WLAN channel on the configuration page of the router:
Good 5 GHz ac channels (without DFS) are channels 36, 40, 44 and 48.
Good 2.4 GHz (overlap-free) n channels are 1, 6 and 11 (do not select intermediate channels!)
Is it still not right? Then the WLANs could disturb the neighbors. In such a case then the 5 GHz WLAN (ac standard use). Of course, routers and laptops must support this as well.
If you can only use 2.4 GHz WLAN in the n-standard, it can help to reduce the channel bandwidth (also called coexistence) from 40 MHz or "automatic" to 20 MHz. Then your WLAN will be more resistant to interference from the neighborhood.
PS:
With this free app you can explore the channel usage of the "Wi-Fi Neighborhood":
Since we have our Wlan amplifier, we have no more problems with the Internet. The Wi-Fi display on my laptop is full, so I assume it's not because of the connection itself. Besides, I have no option to use a different channel on my laptop. In the settings, I have not found anything and if I want to connect to a wireless signal, there's only connect and nothing more
Did you do a speedtest on the laptop? How much Mbps do you have?
https://www.wieistmeineip.de/speedtest/
https://speedsmart.net/
Then you know if the repeater to the router has a sufficient connection.
Full reception is always near the repeater or the router. But if the connection between repeater and router is good, you do not know, you can find that out with a speed test.
Restart router (power down… Wait 1 minute… Power to it) can also help. After restarting, the router automatically selects a suitable channel. Then also restart the repeater. He also selects a suitable channel.
By the way, the WLAN channel of the router is set in the router, to call configuration page of the router in the browser (Fritz.box or http: \\ 192.168.x.1 in the browser as an address, x is a number, see sticker below the router ).
The repeater also has a configuration page that is called in the browser (see sticker or manual of the repeater).
The Wi-Fi channel is never set on the laptop, but the laptop must automatically use the channel that dictates the router or repeater. It's like listening to the radio, you have to select the station on the radio, not the station on the radio.
Full reception? Make the router and look at the reception on the laptop, lo and behold… Full reception but no internet… Exactly what seems to happen to you.
Please answer, if you are using the Speedtest min. 16 MBit / s stable on the laptop, otherwise it will look nothing with liquid YouTube and with the help here.
PS:
If your router has a bad DSL signal (not Wi-Fi signal), that will be synonymous nothing. This is also tested with a speed test, via LAN cable with the laptop plugged directly into the router. You do not have to install the speed test, it runs directly in the browser, so do not worry the test will not hurt. Is the Internet on the router directly via LAN cable measured bad, you have to call the Internet provider, who can check your DSL line from afar, that's your right, according to the contract, you pay for it.
PPS:
Possibly. Is also the assigned DNS server of the provider "cheese" or too slow, because overloaded, then you can sometimes use the DNS servers from Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). You can google the laptop like that, which is explained very often (on the laptop in the properties of the TCP-IPv4 protocol of the network adapter).
