Of course you can! Technically, there are a variety of formats in which a film can be present. In order for this to be played, your laptop must be able to recognize the format in question, the software needs the appropriate codec and the hardware must also support the specific format. In addition, some films are subject to the DRM (digital rights management), the hardware must support this and the software can handle it.
