Newly purchased data sticks are not recognized by the laptop?

I wanted to save data on it today. The only difference I can see is that my previous sticks are 2.0 and I had now bought 3.0.

But shouldn't be a problem. What can s be? Are senseless investments if I can't use them.

Did you format it before? Are there any cheap ones from Ebay?

Al

Are bought from REal, how can I format them?

st

Are they not shown or where exactly is your problem?

Maybe they have to be formatted in the data carrier manager first?

Al

They are not displayed in the explorer. A test test of the stick by Kaspersky also gives the message that no external device is connected.

I don't know how to format it.

Eq

I suspect a problem with the interface on the computer.
Test the sticks on another computer.

Al

Have only one, therefore not possible

Eq

Doesn't have to be yours.
Maybe with a neighbor or colleague or a friend.

Al

How can you format a data stick that, according to the laptop, is not available at all

fu

Have you set everything in the bios so far, e.g. USB support?

Al

Again, a stick that is not available in the explorer can certainly not be edited by me and therefore can't be formatted, apart from the fact that I also do not know how to do it.

st

Search for "Computer Management" in Windows and open it. From there you go to the media management and let's see if the stick is displayed there.
