Save dvd / cd s on the laptop?

My new laptop has no drive, but I would like to convert my old DVDs with the old one so that I can then access the content on the new one. What's the easiest way?

Connect an external DVD burner.

Can't you pull the files on a stick through the internal drive of my old laptop?

Yes you can, and then just put the stick in the new one.

Have tried it and most DVDs have copy protection. Apparently I have to buy an external drive especially for this and drag the DVDs with me forever

So I can burn any DVD with me without problems. Depends on the program and also on the burner itself.

Copy DVD to PC and then to USB is very easy and with any DVD

Not if they have copy protection 🤷♂️. Then nothing copy & paste. Then you have to have a program that cracks it 😈

Nothing is clear there. Not everyone has the programs and they are banned in Germany 🤷♂️

Everyone can buy the programs without any problems. Just because what is prohibited is far from unclear. You know how it works.

You can't buy it in Germany, at least not legally. So far so good 😉

Apparently not, if it is for private use and you bought the DVD you burned, then it is very well allowed.
