How many mbit / s to choose fiber optic?

I would like to sign a new contract with dbn (the better network) now I have three different tariffs to choose from.

Download 50Mbit / s, upload 25Mbit / s

or

Download 100Mbit / s, upload 50Mbit / s

or

Download 400Mbit / s, upload 290Mbit / s

The worst tariff costs me 35 euro, the best 55 euro per month.

I'm really unsure of what to choose. We're a family of 5 and we mainly use the Internet for Netflix and Co, surfing the web with our cell phones and laptops. I think, and we usually use downloads, fewer uploads. At most for games for the Playstation. This currently takes several hours via DSL.

But I can live with that.

We often watch Netflix and the like at the same time or listen to audio books at the same time.

Which contract could you recommend?

Pr

With such a huge family, definitely the 400, because you won't get that much on the device anyway

Gl

I would generally always take the best, but from your point of view 100 downloads should be enough.

Okay, thank you for the information. Why isn't so much arriving? I didn't know that before…

al

The 100Mb should actually be enough

Pr

As much as promised never arrives, the extent is different for everyone. According to the Speed Test, I have a 92 download, but in reality I only download it at 15

Okay, I thought it would be different with fiber optics… A shame…

Pr

That could be good, but you probably won't reach the full 400. But as I said, it is different for everyone

li

The 100Mbit is enough for you, so you can all watch Netflix at the same time.

At such speeds, audio books are no longer noticeable, just like music.

For the (sometimes) large downloads of games, a 400 line would be an option, but if you are honest then flanks don't go down 100GB every day.

li

That is because he can't calculate, he has a 100MBit / S contract and loads with 12MB / s down and that is 100% of the available performance.

li

I have a 500Mbit / a contract and reach 550.7 Mbit / s and they are also completely available (if the server allows it)

Pr

Huh, what's the point?

Many Thanks. I just looked at our old contract. With our DSL contract we have an average of 3.8 mbit / s in download so far 😂 100 would be an improvement! 👍

li

This is called a unit, if different pages / programs show different units then the speed is the same.

li

These are worlds in between.

Pr

What do you mean by different units? Is you both Mbit / s
