Witcher 3 PC Gerald goes in other directions?

I'm playing The Witcher 3 for the first time. The graphics settings are all low for me, but Gerald seems to have his own mind because no matter where I'm heading, he either continues to move or in a different direction: / that does for me the game hardly bargains and the life bar is no longer visible. I would be very thankful for help. I play on a laptop with Win 8.1 and have the NVIDIA GEFORCE 820m as a graphics card.

Your GPU does not meet the minimum requirement for the Witcher 3. Would therefore say that your PC is simply overwhelmed.
