I asked this question before but did not get any answers. Now I'm sitting here for weeks with the problem and just can't find a solution. I like to play Sims 3, build houses, have lots of downloads. Never had a problem. A few weeks ago I downloaded a few more files that I had to unpack into the mods folder using Winrar. Since then always comes the message "Sims 3 does not work anymore" have the mods folder newly created, moved, re-indexed the resource file, reinstalled mods, no matter what I do, once a file in the mods package folder, it works no more. The downloads are very important to me because I think everything is as realistic as possible. But now I can't play with it anymore! I googled and googled, nowhere answer! I'm already thinking about buying a new laptop in the hope that it will work again.
Have you ever tried to delete the cache files?
esp. After installing or uninstalling Custom Content and Mods, these files should be deleted.
