Several internet outages after 9 p.m?

I have had the problem for two months that my entire Internet (including telephony) fails from around 9 p.m. For the first two weeks this was only a single failure per night, but now the number of failures has increased significantly. At the moment the internet is completely down for 2-3 minutes every 15 minutes.

Switching routers and DSL cables didn't help much either. We also called Telekom several times. They recently also sent a technician over. This only has the DSL socket and a few contacts in the distribution points. Unfortunately, this didn't help much.

Approx. A month and a half before the problem began, we had an upgrade from 16K Mbit to 100K Mbit. But that can't be the reason either, because a neighbor has the same router as my family (FRITZ! Box 7530) and also has 100K.

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Due to this problem, my brother and I are unable to play sensibly at night. Even then, my parents can't use their laptops or tablets properly.

I also really apologize for the very long text.

Would be grateful for any help.

1.) Long texts are great when there's enough information.

2.) Can it be due to the current?

3.) Is there a possibility that the supply cable to the house connection is damaged.

4.) What did the technician say?

Hi, first of all thanks for the super quick answer!

1.) Okay, that's good. I just forgot one important piece of information. We live in a residential building. So in a house with several apartments. And the internet works perfectly with all neighbors.

2.) It shouldn't be the electricity.

3.) The technician checked this and it seemed fine for him.

4.) That, in his opinion, it is only on the contacts in the socket in the apartment or in the distribution points. He changed the socket and the contacts.

Then try using an extension cable to get power from another socket.

Next, do an IP check before and after the separation

If you can identify a time window in which it occurs like here, it can also be that something is disturbing your signal.

If I understand you correctly, it concerns WLAN and LAN and it comes to complete crashes with restarts. How does it look in the router log? You are welcome to publish a picture from the router log here or use our https://www.telekom.de/...ecked=true.

Do you have repeaters in use? These can also lead to interruptions due to fluctuations in the power grid. However, that would not be limited to a time window.

Regarding the multiple socket tip, I would like to say: Should be avoided if possible, this can also be a possible source of error.
