Sims on laptop?

I have a question because I have a laptop (Aspire A315-53G) btw that has no built-in CD reader. Could I play Sims on the laptop if I buy a CD reader?

Sims 1 will probably do well there.

The hardware is way too lean for Sims 3 or 4. The only use the device brings is probably a lap heater.
