Sparking on the power supply?

In two of my devices (tablet, 10 volts voltage and notebook 18.5 volts), there's when plugging either directly to the socket or the other way s.Kinkstecker a spark during the connection. Is this dangerous for my devices or is there even a defect?

I would be very happy about every single answer!

Outlet is only if you plug in slowly because the power supply if necessary has a high inrush current but the jack?

This is normal from time to time, just before the metal contacts touch, the air resistance is so low that there's a mini-flash, but the charging current is not a bit stronger or more dangerous for the device than usual, rather the opposite.

Th

Yes, if I put it in the socket first, it will then spark on the device itself.

Is it really a "jack" or a hollow connector? Jack plugs can definitely cause a short circuit when inserting ggr, as the isolating ring is sometimes not wide enough when the first metal clip slips over the separation point. This usually does not happen with hollow connectors.

In the socket is quite normal. That happens…

Th

There are two hollow connectors!

Have you anything else connected to the devices via cable? So over USB for example a printer? (Probably less on the tab?)

It could then possibly arise through another device equipotential bonding. The power supplies are usually suppressed by capacitors. Also on the side that goes to the device. So it can come to voltage differences. But they are not dangerous either.

Th

No. They are directly and united alone with the device. Both devices have a metal frame…

But are not on what conductive? Had that time with ner heating ^^. There was also a bit of crackle about them, but they had a metal case and there was a laptop in the summer. The USB extension cable then sparked on the heater. Well, it is unusual that the plugs on the device itself also spark, but at least there's also current over it when you plug in. So it would be quite normal that it crackle a bit, or can spark. I would not think big about it.

Th

No.1: no, they are not. So I'm sure I will continue to sleep well (the spark will be removed). I thank for so many good approaches and explanations.
