Why is there no connection to the PC with my laptop?

Re

I had asked the question before, but this time I will include pictures and links.

I bought the following microphone: https://www.amazon.de/...089LDRM44/

In addition the following phantom power: https://www.amazon.de/...019JWZCOS/

Now the following problem:

I connected and set up everything. However, I still can't see a connection to the laptop. I was already under the sound setting, all apps are activated.

In the pictures you can see how the cables are connected. If I did something wrong, something is missing, please let me know. According to the microphone, the phantom power should be sufficient (48V). Maybe my laptop is the problem?

I used all of the cables that came with my purchase.

The one cable on the laptop is only the power connection. The USB is from the phantom power supply. The power lamp is blue, accordingly it is switched on.

Well, how should the signal get into your PC? As you have already correctly said yourself, the USB cable is only there for the power supply. The cable from the phantom power output to the PC is still missing.

Yes, but the audio connection from the phantom power to the PC is missing. As I see it, the USB connection is only used for the power supply of the phantom power and not for audio transmission, because there's no A / D converter built into it.

Oh, good to know. So I still have to order that.

Thanks for the hint

Are you sure that the XLR connector is right there? There's far too much play up to the clasp

Phantom power on

Then it would be better to have an audio interface for audio transmission and Audacity for free

I think what you need (in the simplest case) can be found here:

You probably no longer need your phantom power because the audio interface has its own.
