I want to upgrade from 4 gigabytes of RAM to 8GB. My current RAM is DDR4 2666Mhz only 2133mhz is shown.
I can also with the laptop
Install DDR4 8GB 2800Mhz?
Many motherboard manufacturers offer a tool on their websites that shows you which RAM is suitable for your board.
What I would definitely not do is combine RAMs with different clocks. But if you replace all of your old bars with new ones, it could work, but as I said, you have to find out from the motherboard manufacturer.
The answer above is correct: just one tip, depending on how many slots your laptop has, upgrade to 2 x 8 GB instead of just 2 x 4. Doesn't cost much more.
What kind of laptop do you have? There are lots of DDR4 2666 MHz on eBay
Which I had in mind before I realized that only 4 GB can be installed per slot. Gut But his system is certainly newer.
There's only one slot well with the Celeron CPU 16GB does not bring much
The laptop has only one slot then I want to upgrade 8GB more than 8GB it makes no sense with the Celeron CPU
